Spanish Mission

The clients bought the home in 1981 and recently briefed Studio Kate to sensitively refresh its expansive interiors. Keen to maintain the look and feel of the home, the owners requested an injection of colour and personality, re-using existing family antiques and art alongside contemporary acquisitions and custom pieces. The starting point for the scheme was the original richly patterned stair tiles in terracotta, black, cream and blue. These dictated the earthy colour palette, which was realised in eggshell acrylic washed from Porter's Paints and luxe Italian fabrics.
